The Certified Mortgage Instructor (CMI) designation is for mortgage training professionals who value integrity and professionalism within the mortgage industry. Those Certified Mortgage Instructor (CMI) designees will become part of a national network of dedicated and experienced training professionals who are committed to making a difference in mortgage education. To be eligible for the Certified Mortgage Instructor designation, you must first meet specific standards and instructional experience, plus attend an Instructor Development Workshop hosted at the NAPMW Annual Meeting and Convention. Exemptions will apply to those who have been in the training industry for at least three years.
Certified Mortgage Instructor (two-year certification)
Original Applicant $300.00, Renewal Certification $100.00,
Grandfather Participant $200.00, Non-NAPMW Member $550.00

Experience Level:
The Institute of Mortgage Lending requires previous professional training or educational experience in the mortgage industry.
Prerequisites:
Students must complete the Instructor Development Workshop hosted at the NAPMW Annual Meeting and Convention unless they have three years professional training or educational experience within the mortgage industry, plus other documentation.
Participation Requirement:
The Certified Mortgage Instructor must complete the Instructor Development Workshop at the NAPMW Annual Meeting and Convention.

Continuing Education:
The Certified Mortgage Instructor designation requires that a designee acquire 20 hours of continuing education credit every two years.

The Institute of Mortgage Lending offers individual GML/MML/CMI/CME course registrations, as well as a corporate licensing program that provides corporations with the opportunity to participate in the GML/MML/CMI/CME designation programs for their company employees.
